Canto Mundo
Latinx Poetry is a national organization who aims to grow a community of latinx poets through the use of workshops, symposia and public readings. Each year they select 10-12 new fellows who are given the opportunity to return to their annual writing retreat in the hopes of bringing about support and collaboration within the community.
Dignidad Literaria
DignidadLiteraria is a network of committed Latinx authors formed to combat the invisibility of Latinx authors, editors and executives in the U.S. publishing industry and the dearth of Latinx literature on the shelves of America’s bookstores and libraries. #DignidadLiteraria believes in the social and political power of wholly authentic Latinx voices and that it is the duty of the publishing industry and literati to use their full power and privilege to elevate these voices.
DiverseVoices, Inc.
DiverseVoices, Inc. was established to empower and advocate for minority, underrepresented and other marginalized groups of writers, illustrators and other book creators. In furtherance of this goal, our mission is to support and increase the number of book creators in publishing who self-identify from marginalized communities. Through DiverseVoices, Inc., we aim to assist self-identifying marginalized book creators in the growth and development of their craft, educate them on the book publishing industry, and foster a community and network among them and publishing professionals.
Dominican Writers Association
Dominican Writers Association is a platform dedicated to supporting and promoting the works by creative writers of Dominican descent (more specifically Dominican-American) in the genres of fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. Our mission is to provide writers and community members with the tools and resources to continue developing their craft with the means to self-publish or traditionally publish within the U.S. publishing industry. DWA is the founder of the Dominican Writers Conference, which gathers dozens of talks, workshops, readings on a single day at the City University of New York, City College.
Fundacion Cuatro Gatos
Cuatrogatos Fundación is a non-profit organization founded by Miami based authors Sergio Andricaín and Antonio Orlando Rodríguez.It has as its main goal the promotion of culture and education, with an emphasis on children and young adults. Cuatrogatos Foundation conceives and implements projects that, through literature, art and the different means for the acquisition of knowledge, develop the creative, critical and civic capacities of the Spanish-speaking community of Miami.
Latinx In Kid Lit
Latinos/x in Kid Lit provides a forum for Latinx children’s, middle-grade and YA books. Along with this they promote literacy, a love for books and encourage interest in Latinx literature to non-Latin readers. In addition, they conduct book reviews, author interviews, teaching ideas and articles for those involved in literary and publishing work.

Latinx in Publishing is a network of book professionals who are working to increase the number of Latino/a/x in the world of publishing. With focuses on community, professional development and outreach/advocacy, they strive to promote literature by, for and about Latino/a/x people.
People of Color in Publishing
People of Color in Publishing has one mission: diversify the book publishing industry. Instead of focusing their efforts on writers of color, they aim to open up opportunities for those who work within the industry. With career development techniques, they aim to empower women of color to take their rightful place in the publishing industry.
Presente
Presente’s mission is to advance Latinx power and create winning campaigns that amplify Latinx voices; expand the political imagination and traditional boundaries; and foster inspiration for freedom, equity, and justice. Presente is the largest national Latinx online organization advancing social justice with technology, media, and culture.
SCBWI
The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, is the only professional organization specifically for individuals who write and illustrate for children and young adults. We Need Diverse Books
We Need Diverse Books is another non-profit organization who highlights readers who love children’s books. They advocate for changes in the publishing industry by including more diverse titles because they believe in promoting and producing literature that reflects the lives of young people everywhere.
