My name is Mariana Llanos. I was born and raised in Peru, but currently live in Oklahoma, USA. I write bilingual short stories, poetry, picture books, chapter books and middle grade. I fell in love with writing when I was a young girl in Lima, Peru. After I moved to the United States, and after having my first child, I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming an author. I have three books that have been traditionally published: Luca’s Bridge/El Puente de Luca, Eunice and Kate, and the upcoming Run Little Chaski/Corre Pequeño Chaski.
I love creating books that dig into my culture but also on social issues with the hope to plant a seed of love in children’s minds. I live in Oklahoma where I write full time.
