Jenny Torres Sanchez is a full-time writer and former English teacher. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, but has lived on the border of two worlds her whole life. She is the author of five novels for young adults. The Fall of Innocence was named a Kirkus Best YA Book in 2018 and Death, Dickinson, and the Demented Life of Frenchie Garcia was named a Kirkus Best YA Book in 2013. Her third novel, Because of the Sun, received a Florida Book Award gold medal. Jenny also contributed to the anthologies Hope Nation and Our Stories, Our Voices. Her next novel, We Are Not From Here, will be published May of 2020 by Penguin Random House.
