Las Musas wants to use our knowledge to champion Black writers and illustrators and lift Black voices. To show our support with action, we are offering free query and manuscript critiques for Black creators.

WHAT...
Critiques by mentors from Las Musas for:

• MG, YA, and Adult writers (fiction and nonfiction): 
  • A query letter critique
  • 10-page manuscript critique (optional)
• Picture Book writers (fiction and nonfiction):
  • A query letter critique
  • Picture book manuscript critique (optional)
• Illustrators:
  • A query letter critique
  • 10-15 page portfolio critique (optional)

HOW...
We are accepting work in all fiction genres, nonfiction, and memoir.

Entries will be accepted from June 15 to July 15, 2020

• We strive to respond to all entries by August 15, 2020
• This opportunity is first come, first served and may be limited in accordance with availability of mentors in each category
