Angela Montoya is a young adult author currently working on her debut fantasy novel SINNER’S ISLE (expected publication fall 2023) with Joy Revolution Books of Penguin Random House Teen. While she’s always identified as a storyteller, it wasn’t until February 2017 that she actually started putting pen to paper—or fingers to keys—and began to write.
Since then, she has participated as a Round 5 Author-Mentor Match mentee and was selected to be a mentee in Pitch Wars 2020. She is the granddaughter of the celebrated activist and poet laureate Jose Montoya and lives in Northern California with her family. She is represented by Larissa Melo Pienkowski at Jill Grinberg Literary Management.
