ABOUT SILVIA...
Silvia López was born in Cuba and emigrated to Miami as a child. Her love of books led to a career as children’s librarian and later as author of over a dozen children’s books, two of which won gold medals from the Florida Book Awards and became Junior Library Guild selections. Three bilingual books, the third installment in an Easy Reader series, an illustrated counting book, and a picture book for the Smithsonian Institution, are scheduled for publication in 2025/2026. Her latest book: Uno Más, One More: A Latino Retelling of an Old Scottish Ballad, illustrated by Olivia Sua and published by Little Brown, received a starred review in the School Library Journal. http://www.silvialopezbooks.com
